Mahindra’s ongoing Independence Day event marks the final unveiling of their Vision X concept SUV. A new model from either the XUV brand (joining the XUV700 and XUV 3XO) or the XEV range (joining the XEV 9e) is anticipated to be introduced by the concept SUV. Based on Mahindra’s new modular NU_IQ design, the Vision X can support electric, hybrid, and internal combustion engine powertrains.
Mahindra Vision X Exterior

The Mahindra Vision X concept, in spite of its high ground clearance and upright stance, sports a dynamic, crossover-like look. A spoiler reminiscent of the BE 6’s, the rake of the front and rear windscreens, and the sculpted bonnet all contribute to the athletic appearance. The back is much more erect than the XEV 9e’s, though.

The squared wheel arches that hold the big, aero-designed dual-tone alloy wheels with low profile tires are framed by black cladding that extends from the front to the back. With the exception of a silver side step, the Vision X concept’s sides resemble the XEV 9e’s significantly, down to the creases in the doors and the flush-fitting door handles.
Mahindra Vision X Interior

The infotainment screen and instrument cluster display are the most noticeable features of the Vision X concept’s interior; the latter curves in the direction of the driver. The dashboard is three-toned, and the steering wheel has two spokes. The Mahindra pictures also included individual centre arm rests for the front passengers, a wide centre console with storage and cup holders, and rectangular air conditioning vents.
Engine And Platform
The Vision X, like the other ideas shown today, is built on Mahindra’s NU_IQ platform, a monocoque design that can fit SUVs with lengths ranging from 3,990mm to 4,320mm. Its wheelbase length is 2,665mm, just like the other concepts. The Vision X, on the other hand, is anticipated to be a sub-4-meter vehicle, which would give this Mahindra small SUV a competitive edge. For comparison, at 2,600mm, Mahindra’s own XUV 3XO currently boasts the longest wheelbase in the class.
