At Mahindra’s Freedom NU event this Independence Day, the Mahindra Vision.T SUV concept made its debut. The Mahindra Thar E, which debuted globally in South Africa in 2023, is a more sophisticated version of this innovative SUV idea. The Vision.T, that is based on Mahindra’s new Nu IQ platform, has five doors, just as the Thar E. Let’s examine this novel idea’s appearance and potential benefits:

Although the Mahindra Vision.T has a classic boxy SUV appearance, it features newer, more production-spec design elements than the Thar E concept. Its redesigned six-slat split grille, which is reminiscent of the Thar Roxx’s, and flat hood give it a threatening appearance. The split vertical LED DRLs and squared headlights give it a really interesting appearance. A yellow-finished exposed tow hook latch is located inside the hefty blacked-out bumper.

The Vision.T’s boxy form and upright stance are clearly visible along the profile. The black finish on the rear quarter window unit is particularly suggestive of the Thar Roxx’s silhouette. Its strong looks is further enhanced by its large off-road tires and hefty wheel arches. Similar to the Thar Roxx, the rear door handles are located on the C-pillar.
Vision.T Interior

The Hyundai Vision.T concept greets you with a modern dual-tone cabin and an upright dashboard design. At the center of attention is a massive vertically stacked touchscreen that also integrates climate controls, while a row of toggle switches sits just below for quick access to key functions. The driver’s side gets a fully digital instrument cluster positioned right behind a 3-spoke steering wheel, which proudly carries the “Vision.T” name on its horn pad. Adding a sporty twist, the engine start/stop button is cleverly placed on the steering wheel itself—a feature usually seen in high-performance cars. The concept is configured to seat five occupants comfortably.
